  Impeccable.
  
  That's the one word - I suppose - that most accurately describes Peter Smart's approach, from the day we met until the final hours of our wedding.
  
  Before our big day, we had met twice and exchanged numerous emails to make sure things would go according to plan. On each occasion, I got the sense that he really understood what these captured memories would mean to us. We had been impressed by the photographs on his website and wanted the same; photos that would transport us back to our special day.
  
  We were not disappointed.
  
  On the day of the wedding, Peter made it very clear that he wanted us to pretend he wasn't there as much as possible, to allow the shots to be natural. He would constantly check his screen and if the photo was not impeccable (that word again), he would take another one. As my best man said on the day, 'I bet those photos are gonna come out amazing. Look how meticulous he is with what he does'.
  
  Peter is socially adept, which allowed him to seamlessly navigate through the wedding. Everyone he encountered enjoyed his company and he was constantly seen cracking jokes with one person or the other. In fact, he felt so much a part of the wedding, it was as if a friend was taking our photos.
  
  Peter's dedication truly is second to none and clearly reflects his joy for what he does.
  
  Sophie and I feel honoured to have had him as the photographer on the most special day of our lives.
